TROPICAL LEAF SCULPTURE EPOXY RESIN EMBEDDED ON FRAMED WOOD PANEL
title: TROPICAL LEAF SCULPTURE dimension: 1 meter by 1.2 meter media: mixed media (plaster, paper mache, acrylic, epoxy resin on board panel) My artist career began with these intricate and detailed leaf sculptures, maple leaves, oak leaves, monstera leaves, ferns, banana leaves. I have been always been fascinated at the beauty of our beautiful planet earth, especially my home country of Canada where the leaves change so gracefully with the seasons of this great independant intelligence called 'earth'. This piece is tediously hand crafted using many layers of paper mache on a constructed steel wire frame, painted in acrylic and cast in high gloss epoxy resin, on a black framed background. Quite the creative process, I began my art career with the “leaf sculpture series” that attempted to recuperate and draw appreciation for the natural world and how we perceive and receive its beauty and grace.

At some point it hits our sun and is then transmitted to our planet activating dormant dna at the subatomic level. The SOLAR LIGHT CODES are awakening the sleeping humanity of who we are and why we are here.
